Dr. Sunil J. Wimalawansa is a full professor of Medicine, Endocrinology & Nutrition and a director in Cardio Metabolic & Endocrine Institute, North Brunswick, USA. His clinical expertise medicine, endocrinology, human nutrition, vitamin D, disease prevention, metabolic diseases, osteoporosis, CKD, and health policies. His seminal innovations include using intra-operative hormone assays to assist tumor location for endocrine surgical procedures (1983), a technique globally recognized as the standard of care by endocrine surgeons. In 1984, he developed an intra-operative measurement of hormones during surgical procedures, used worldwide as the standard of care. In 2005, he received the Lifetime Achievement Award for his contributions to medicine, science, humanity, and society and the Dr. Oscar Gluck International Humanitarian Award for his philanthropic efforts in 2007. In 2024, he received the prestigious International Public Service Award from the American Association of Clinical Endocrinologists. He received several young investigators' awards from several professional and scientific societies, the Dr. Boy Frame Award for Clinical Excellence in Metabolic Bone Diseases, the American Endocrine Society, the Glen Foundation Awards, and an Innovation Award from the Asian Chamber of Commerce. He served on several national and international scientific review committees, including the NIH, VA, DEA, and NASA.
Dr. Zhiling Yu holds a BSc degree in traditional Chinese medicine and a PhD degree in biochemistry. Prof. Yu once worked at China Pharmaceutical University, Nagasaki University, Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, Xiamen University and University of Macau, and currently serves as the professor at Hong Kong Baptist University. Dr. Yu is known for his research in herbal pharmacology, focusing on anti-atopic dermatitis, anti-rheumatic, and anticancer herbs. He is also interested in processing of Chinese medicinal materials, focusing on the mechanisms underlying processing of Chinese medicines, standardization of adjuvant materials for the processing of Chinese medicinal herbs, and quality control of decoction pieces. He has published more than 200 peer-reviewed research papers. Prof. Yu serves as Editorial Board Member/Associate Editor/Executive Editor/ Consulting Editor for more than 30 journals, e.g. LiShizhen Medicine and Materia Medica Research, BMC Complementary Medicine and Therapies, Current Topics in Nutraceutical Research, Journal of Alternative, Complementary & Integrative Medicine, Pharmacological Research.
Dr. Amgad Rabie is Senior Drug Discovery and Medicinal Chemistry Pharmacist. He has rich research experience and works as clinical research associate at Harvard Univewrsity, United States and Ministry of Health and Pollution (MoHp), Egyptian. He currently works as the head of Drug Discovery & Clinical Research Department, Dikernis General Hospital (DGH), Egypt. His research interests focus on Pharmaceutical Organic, Drug Design/Discovery, Pharmaceutical/Medical Sciences and Clinical Medical Research. He has published more than 40 papers. Dr. Amgad Rabie also serves as the Editor-in-Chief of International Journal of Biotechnology and Bioengineering(IJBB), and as a reviewer for many journals, including Cellular and Molecular Life Sciences, Current Research in Structural Biology, Advances in Microbiology, Infectious Diseases and Public Health, etc.
Zohre Eftekhari holds Professional Doctoral Degree in Veterinary Medicine and worked as the research fellow at University of Tehran. She currently serves as an associate professor at Biotechnology Department, Pasteur Institute of Iran. Her research fields lie in respiratory diseases, infectious diseases, heart diseases, viral vaccines, toxic assays in pharmaceutical products, animal models in infectious and autoimmune diseases, and toxicology in veterinary medicine. She has presided and participated in 17 funded projects, including 15 completed and 2 ongoing projects. Prof. Zohre Eftekhari has published near 60 scientific articles in international journals, 3 authored books, 3 translated book and 2 patents to date. She serves as the peer reviewer for Plant Biotechnology Persa and Respiratory Research. She also participated in academic conference and delivered her presentation.
